Meditation vs. Reiki — What’s the Difference?


Meditation is something you do.

You relax your body, slow your breath, and guide your mind into stillness.

It’s an internal practice — you create the calm from within.


Reiki is something you receive.

A practitioner who has been attuned to Reiki channels universal energy into your body with or without touch, and even from a distance.

This energy helps your body release tension, return to balance, and support its natural ability to heal.


Both bring deep relaxation, but Reiki often takes you into a softer, deeper state than a home meditation because you’re not doing the work alone — you’re being supported
